5 Themes of Geography Research Project - GlobeMan PBL Activity - MS Digital Resources
This Project-Based Learning (PBL) activity invites students to research a city and showcase its five Themes of Geography by creating a GlobeMan! The lesson begins with a quick review of the five themes and then guides the class through a detailed explanation of the project. Students will investigate the city's Location, Place, Region, Movement, and Human-Environment Interactions. They will then design GlobeMan presentations or posters, including images and descriptions that illustrate the city's geography.
This activity can be adapted to any location. A rubric is provided to set clear expectations for students, making grading straightforward. My students always LOVE creating GlobeMan! The resource includes both printable and interactive digital versions of the directions, research guides, templates, rubrics, and project examples. It is suitable for traditional in-class learning or digital 1:1 classrooms. Everything you need is included!
