Where in the World Map Lesson & Continents Activities - Microsoft Digital Resources
This "Where in the World" map lesson explores the locations of the seven continents and five oceans. The activities are engaging for students, and the guided 5-E format is easy for teachers to use!
Start with a warm-up activity called “Where in the World?” to assess students’ existing knowledge of the world map. Next, examine a popular geography meme and create labeled maps of the continents and oceans. The “Show What You Know” activity challenges students to name the continents and oceans by participating in a fun “Around the World” game. Finally, evaluate student learning with an exit ticket quiz. Two versions of the quiz allow for easy differentiation in your classroom.
